Simply said, we're a women's upcycling workshop in Wigan. Supporting women through hard times with paintbrushes and compassion.
There's furniture to design, sand and prep, paint and market.
There's small crafts such as printing with found objects, decoupaging homewares and decorative items. We've even got knitting needles and wool.
Most importantly we have kettle, tea and coffee, and biscuits.
It's all free to access. If you can donate that's lovely, but our job is to provide the resources for the workshop to run well, from both grants we apply for and earned income from sold items.
The workshop is a safe space for women. If you want to talk about an issue, that's fine. We aren't counsellors, or even support workers - but we can put you in touch with services if that's what you want.
We are going to be running pay as you feel workshops where we share upcycling skills - these will be announced on social media.
Anyone who identifies as a woman living in Wigan or Leigh can come. You must be over 18yrs. That's it - you don't have to have a particular issue, or even any creative skills.
You can self refer or ask a support worker to contact us on your behalf.
Our referral form is below just download, fill it out and email back to hello@remadewigan.co.uk
If this is a barrier, then send us a message or a WhatsApp on

Sewing tuition is also available through Idaraya Life who can provide 1:1 sessions on Tuesdays - sessions cost £40 though concessionary pricing is available.
